TO THE
SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN
COUNTY OF MONTEREY
And the CITY OF GONZALES
For CDBG YEAR 2023-2024
GONZALES COMMUNITY CENTER
THIS AMENDMENT #1 is entered into this 25th day of January 2024 by and between the County of Monterey (herein called “Grantee”) and the City of Gonzales herein called “Subrecipient”). by and between the County of Monterey (herein called “Grantee”) and the City of Gonzales herein called “Subrecipient”).
WHEREAS, Grantee, in conjunction with the cities of Gonzales, Greenfield, and Sand City formed a Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Urban County jurisdiction (Urban County) in order to become a direct entitlement jurisdiction with HUD;
WHEREAS, Grantee applied for and was approved to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds as an Urban County from the United States Government under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended (HCD Act), Public Law 93-383; WHEREAS, Grantee was awarded grant CDBG funds from Agreement #B-19-UC-06-0011, B-21- UC-06-0011, and B-22-UC-06-0011 (Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance #14.218) with HUD with authority to expend funds as of July 1, 2023;
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Grant Agreements, Grantee and Subrecipient entered into that certain Subrecipient Agreement dated October 26, 2023, to implement the Subrecipient’s development of an approximately 23,000 square foot community center facility; and WHEREAS, Grantee and Subrecipient wish to amend the terms of the Subrecipient Agreement to increase the Not to Exceed amount.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed between the parties hereto that:
I. SUMMARY
A. Grant Term: July 1, 2023 through December 31, 2024
B. Grant Not to Exceed Amount: $827,768.78
II. Attachment D – BUDGET, is hereby amended with the following:
Available Funding
Design Development $140,971
Construction Documents $422,914
Bidding $140,972
Consultant/Contract Services $122,911.78
Total $827,768.78
2 III. All other references to performance required during the initial term of the Subrecipient Agreement term, including quarterly reporting requirements and final invoicing are hereby extended and continue through the duration of this Agreement.
IV. All other terms and conditions of the Subrecipient Agreement remain unchanged.
V. A copy of this AMENDMENT shall be attached to the original Subrecipient Agreement, dated October 26, 2023.

1) any president or vice president, or chair of the Board; and 2) any secretary, assistant secretary, treasurer or assistant treasurer, or the CFO Alternatively, the Subrecipient Agreement may be signed by anyone else named in a Resolution adopted by the Board of Directors provided a copy of said resolution is provided to the County.
