RESOLUTION NO. 2024-09
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO
THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES FOR THE FLOOD
EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROGRAM UPGRADE
WHEREAS, the City of Gonzales proposes to Implement an upgrade to the Flood Emergency Response Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gonzales intends to apply for grant funding from the California Department of Water resources for the project costs; and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Gonzales as follows:
1. That pursuant and subject to all of the terms and provisions of California Proposition 84, The Safe Drinking Water, Water Quality & Supply, Flood Control, River & Coastal Bond Act of 2006 (Section 75032 of Chapter 3 of Division 43 of the Public resources Code), application by this agency be made to the California Department of Water Resources to obtain a grant for the Flood Emergency Response Program Upgrade.
2. The City of Gonzales City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to prepare the necessary data, make investigations, sign, and file such application with the California Department of Water Resources, and take such other actions as necessary or appropriate to obtain grant funding.
