Callf Breeze Assessment District Prop 218 Public Hearing NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Gonzales will hold a Public Hearing as part of the City Council meeting on Monday, July 22, 2024, beginning at 6:00 PM in the Council:
Chambers, 117 Fourth Street, Gonzales, CA, to receive public comments and for staff to tabulate the submitted Proposition 218 ballots related to proposed. increases including an annual inflationary adjustment set forth in the respective Engineers Reports for the following Assessment Districts:
1. California Breeze Benefit Assessment District
2. California Breeze Parks and Open Spaces Maintenance Assessment District If approved, the annual assessment amounts for the Calif Breeze Beneft Assessment District would be phased in over a three-year period:

At the June 3, 2024 Council meeting, the City Council directed staff to mail ballots for both assessment increases to all property owners in the Calif Breeze subdivision. Ballots were mailed on june 6. The city shall not impose an assessment increase if there is a majority protest A •majority protest exists if, upon the conclusion of the public hearing, ballots submitted in opposition to the assessment increase exceed the ballots submitted in favor of the assessment increase.

Interested parties are invited to attend said hearing and provide comments or submit evidence for or against the subject matter.
