RESOLUTION NO. 2024-53
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES
AMENDING THE ADOPTED CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 87306.5 requires a local agency to review its adopted Conflict of Interest Code on a biennial basis and submit a report to the City Council identifying changes, if any; and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the Standard Conflict of Interest Code on December 20, 1982, and has made periodic changes thereto to either reflect changes in the law or the designated positions that participate in making government decisions required to file disclosure statements; and
WHEREAS, Staff has reviewed the current Gonzales Conflict of Interest Code, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit “A,” has determined that no amendment thereto is necessary, and has completed the “2024 Local Agency Biennial Notice,” a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit “B.”
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gonzales has reviewed the adopted Conflict of Interest Code and finds that:
1. All designated position which make or participate in the making of governmental decisions are accurately described in Exhibit “A.”
2. The disclosure statements assigned those positions accurately requires the disclosure of all investments, business positions, interest in real property and sources of income which may foreseeable be affected materially by the decisions made by those designated positions.
3. The Code includes all other provisions required by Government Code Section 87302.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Gonzales at a regular meeting duly held on the 19th day of August, 2024 by the following vote:
