PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Gonzales will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 6:00pm in the City Council Chambers, 117 Fourth Street, Gonzales, California to consider adoption of:
ORDINANCE NO. 2024-146
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES AMENDING CHAPTER 3.16- PURCHASING PROCEDURES OF TITLE 3- REVENUE
AND FINANCE OF THE GONZALES CITY CODE TO INCREASE THE BIDDING
REQUIREMENT THRESHOLD FOR THE PURCHASE OF SUPPLIES AND
EQUIPMENT FROM $5,000 TO $50,000
The City Council will be considering the adoption of Ordinance No. 2024-146, which will increase the City’s current bidding requirement threshold for the purchase of supplies and equipment from $5,000 to $50,000. The effect of this change will be that supplies and equipment costing less than $50,000 will be exempt from the bidding requirements established in the Gonzales Municipal Code.
A copy of the full text of the proposed ordinance has been available in the office of the City Clerk since August 15, 2024. Ordinance No. 2024-146 was introduced and read by title only at a regular meeting of the City Council on August 15, 2024.
Further information is available for review at City Hall, 147 Fourth Street, between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and express opinions or submit evidence for or against the above request.
