ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Legacy Signs is nearing issuance of a construction and electrical permit for the City-approved freewayoriented billboard sign approved by the City Council. Once issued, we will forecast a date for groundbreaking activities.
HOUSING
Vista Lucia Specific Plan. On Monday, March 10, 2025, the Planning Commission considered the VLSP project and recommended approval to the City Council. The applicant and staff are conferring on a few matters before scheduling final review with the City Council.
On Monday, April 14, 2025, City staff learned that the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership (MBEP) will be sending a formal letter of project endorsement for the Vista Lucia Specific Plan project.
Housing Element. The Housing Element is nearing completion and following City Council review of the Vista Lucia Specific Plan, a Public Hearing Notice will be prepared for the Planning Commission to consider a Housing Element recommendation to the City Council.
BUILDING DIVISION ACTIVITY
From March 1, 2025, through March 31, 2025 (31 reporting days), the City issued 10 permits for three garage conversion ADUs, two re-roofs, and electrical work associated with solar installations. The estimated value of improvements was $277,031.
