RESPONSES
There were 65 calls for service during the month of March, bringing the total number of calls for 2025 to 206. There were 27 EMS calls, 10 vehicle accidents, 2 vehicle fires, 1 trash fire, 2 hazardous materials incidents, 5 service calls, 4 false alarms, and 14 cancelled en route. Mutual aid was requested twice during the month due to multiple calls occurring at the same time.
STAFFING
One Full Time Firefighter position remains vacant and the position is expected to be filled by June 30, 2025. Three applications for Volunteer Firefighter have been received. All three applicants were approved to continue with the selection process; however, one applicant dropped out after completing the medical physical to pursue another opportunity.
TRAINING
All shifts trained on various EMS skills, pumping operations, hazardous materials response, and firefighter survival. Personnel have also begun preparing for the upcoming wildland fire season by reviewing safety guidelines and operating procedures.
EQUIPMENT
All apparatus remains in service without the need for significant repairs.

Annual business inspections and one employee housing inspection were conducted during the month.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMNET
Firefighters participated in an event at La Gloria School and read books to First Grade students. On duty fire personnel assisted with safety and traffic control for the parade honoring the Gonzales High Boys Soccer Team.
