RESOLUTION NO. 2025-19
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF GONZALES AND JACKSON FAMILY INVESTMENTS FOR THE REVISED PUENTE DEL
MONTE SPECIFIC PLAN, AND ANNEXATION PROPOSAL SUBMITTED TO THE CITY OF GONZALES, APRIL 7, 2025
WHEREAS, City staff and Jackson Family Investments have worked together for years under previous agreements and studies, that will benefit the processing of this revised specific plan and annexation proposal received April 7, 2025; and
WHEREAS, earlier efforts to present the Puente del Monte Specific Plan by Jackson Family Investments included a larger project area that included land areas under the ownership of the Rianda Family Limited Partnership; and
WHEREAS, the Rianda Family Limited Partnership separated from the Puente Deal Monte Specific Plan effort to pursue the development review and annexation of approximately 45 acres into the City of Gonzales to enable the construction of an agricultural processing facility, and was successful in that endeavor in 2023; and
WHEREAS, following the success of the Rianda Family Limited Partnerships annexation of approximate 45 acres into the City of Gonzales, Jackson Family Investments revisited their Puente Del Monte Specific Plan design and are now ready to process a revised specific plan proposal that is adjacent to the newly annexed 45 acres intended for the Rianda Agricultural Cooler; and WHEREAS, on April 7, 2025, Jackson Family Investments approached the City with a revised Puente Del Monte Specific Plan Proposal and Annexing Proposal within a portion of their Gloria Road area properties within the City of Gonzales Sphere of Influence (SOI); and WHEREAS, on May 19, 2025, the City Council considered a Reimbursement Agreement between the City of Gonzales and Jackson Family Investments to authorize the City Manager to sign the agreement; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to sign a Reimbursement Agreement between the City of Gonzales and Jackson Family Investments (Exhibit 1 to this Resolution No. 2025-19), for the revised Puente Del Monte Specific Plan and Annexation Proposal submitted to the City of Gonzales, April 7, 2025.
