A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES HONORING STREET LIFE CAR CLUB FOR THEIR COLLABORATION ON THE CITY’S THIRD ANNUAL SHOW AND SHINE CAR SHOW OF APRIL 5, 2025
WHEREAS, the City Council of Gonzales first called for the Show and Shine Car Show to be organized in 2022 in the Downtown Area of Gonzales as part of the 75th Year Celebration of the town’s incorporation; and
WHEREAS, in its third year, the Annual Car Show has proved to be a success, bringing out car enthusiasts from near and far to visit and enjoy the day; and WHEREAS, this year we had support from two Car Clubs that helped us organize the day, promote the show, serve as judges and ensure that things ran smoothly; and WHEREAS, Street Life Car Club (Street Life) was one of the Car Clubs that supported the City in making the Car Show a success; and
WHEREAS, Street Life was established in Salinas, CA in 1983 and continues to grow strong till this day with members residing in Salinas, Gonzales, Soledad, Hollister and Redding; and WHEREAS, Street Life and its members have a passion for helping their communities; and WHEREAS, the Car Show, with their support, generated funding for kid programming, which will be used to support the Holiday Lights Event this year that is geared toward children and youth of the community, bringing holiday spirit to them and their families during the Christmas Season.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES HEREBY:
Honors the Street Life Car Club for the Support And Tremendous Efforts In Helping Put on a Successful 2025 Car Show
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Gonzales at a regular meeting duly held on the 19th day of May 2025, by the following vote:
