Finally on April 27th we celebrated a day that so many of us have been waiting for – the groundbreaking of the Dennis and Janice Caprara Community Center Complex. The day was In On Wednesday, May 7th, the Blue Zones National Team paid our community a visit. They wanted to see the Community Garden and the Mural that Blue Zones has worked with us on.
They were amazed by all the hard work and the City’s dedication to being a healthy and thriving community.
On May 22nd, we celebrated the unveiling of our beautiful new mural. If you have not seen it, I encourage you to stop by the Post Office to see it. It truly captured the Love, Care, and Connection we embody here in Gonzales.
Our Police Explorers under Corporal Castillo’s direction and in partnership with the Health Department, have been busy giving out bike helmets and
Speaking to pedestrians about road safety. If you see them out and about, stop by and say “Hi”.
Don’t forget to join us this June 25th for the Law
Enforcement Torch Run. The Run will start at the
Police Department and go to the Brand-New
Spartan Stadium. If you can’t join the run, cheer us
on starting at 9:25AM.
