A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES AUTHORIZING TASK ORDER #3 UNDER A MASTER SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
HARRIS ASSOCIATES FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES ON THE COMMUNITY CENTER COMPLEX PROJECT DURING FY 2025-26 FOR A NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $218,873
WHEREAS, design and construction of the Community Center Complex Project is funded by a variety of sources including the Measure X (local sales tax), $5.0 M State grant secured by State Senator Anna Caballero, Community Development Block Grant monies, $1.8M County contribution to relocate existing library from the Gonzales Shopping Center, various grants, and a Capital Campaign; and WHEREAS, Harris Associates was selected to provide Construction Management services through a Request for Proposals process; and
WHEREAS, A Non-Exclusive Master Services Agreement with Harris Associates along with Task Order #1 for Construction Management services for FY 2023-24 was approved at the September 18, 2023 Council meeting; and
WHEREAS, Task Order #2 for Construction Management services during FY 2024-25 was approved at the July 22, 2024 Council meeting; and
WHEREAS, Harris Associates continues to provide excellent Construction Management services on this important city project; and
WHEREAS, City staff recommends the City Council authorize Task Order #3 with Harris Associates under their Master Service Agreement for Construction Management Services during FY 2025-26 in a not-to-exceed amount of $218,873 per their May 29, 2025 proposal.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Gonzales that the City Manager is authorized to execute Task Order #3 with Harris Associates under their Master Service Agreement for Construction Management Services in a not-to-exceed amount of $218,873 PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Gonzales duly held on the 16
th day of June 2025, by the following vote:
