Finally on April 27th we celebrated a day that so many of us have been waiting for – the groundbreaking of the Dennis and Janice Caprara Community Center Complex. The day was In June kicked off our summer programming, starting with the opening of the pool for the 2025 Season. The pool will be open through the end of summer with a robust programming schedule. To see more detailed information regarding programming times, see the attached flyer at the end of the report.
On June 25th, Gonzales hosted the Law Enforcement Torch Run led by Officer Perez. It was a great event supported by the Gonzales High School Band and Football Team. Funds generated went to support the Special Olympics of Northern California. We look forward to organizing a stop in Gonzales again next year and would like to THANK all of you who contributed or participated in the run in some way.
In the same spirit, we invite the community to be part of the City of Gonzales’ Relay for Life Team. We’ve been absent from the Relay for a few years, but we are back to supporting this important cause. The event will take place on Saturday, September 20th in downtown Salinas. Come be part of our team and help us raise funds for cancer research. Scan the QR Code to register.
