RESOLUTION NO. 2025-80
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES ACCEPTING THE 2025 SLURRY SEAL CONTRACT AS COMPLETE,
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO RECORD A NOTICE OF COMPLETION
WITH THE COUNTY RECORDER AND DIRECT STAFF TO RELEASE
RETENTION MONIES TO THE CONTRACTOR AFTER THE
NOTICE OF COMPLETION IS RECORDED
WHEREAS, staff issued the 2025 Slurry Seal Project for bid on June 26, 2025; and on July 23, 2025 the City received and opened three bids for the project, and WHEREAS, at the August 4, 2025 City Council Meeting, a $226,500 contract with Pavement Coatings Company was approved; and
WHEREAS, Pavement Coatings Company began field operations on October 7, 2025 and construction was deemed complete on November 5, 2025; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Gonzales that the 2025 Slurry Seal Contract is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that within ten days of adoption of this Resolution, City staff shall file with the County Recorder a Notice of Completion and release retention monies to the Contractor.
