RESOLUTION NO. 2026-06
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT #1, EXTENSION OF
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF GONZALES
AND THE GONZALES POLICE SUPERVISOR OFFICERS ASSOCIATION, FOR THE PERIOD COVERING JANUARY 1, 2026
THROUGH JUNE 30, 2026
WHEREAS, the City of Gonzales and the Gonzales Police Supervisor Officers Association entered into a one-year MOU for the period of January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the City was notified by the Gonzales Police Supervisor Officers Association in December 2025 to begin negotiations for a successor MOU; and WHEREAS, the City and the Association began negotiations in December 2025 and reached a Tentative Agreement on February 6, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Gonzales Police Supervisor Officers Association held a ratification vote shortly after the tentative agreement. The City was notified on February 6, 2026 the new MOU was ratified by the membership.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gonzales hereby approves Amendment #1 to the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Gonzales and the Gonzales Police Supervisor Officers Association, for the period covering January 1, 2026 through June 30, 2026.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Gonzales at a regular meeting duly held on the 17th day of February 2026, by the following vote:
