Dear City Council Members,
My name is Maggie Philipsborn and l'm writing to you today to show my support for Nevada County Media, and to ask you to contribute to helping save the funding this community asset needs so badly. I am the Director of Membership & Education for a local non-profit, and like the rest of the world, when the pandemic began, our small, non-profit organization had to pivot all of our events and in-person meetings into on-line, virtual offerings. Nevada County Media provides nonprofits an incredible wealth of resources at a very low cost, and with their help we have been able to not just maintain our monthly programming but expand it and reach broader audiences in an efficient and professional manner. I truly don't know where our organization would be without their partnership and support over these past few years. I believe having an organization like Nevada County Media makes our community stronger, and is an important community hub for people of all ages to learn increasingly valuable and entrepreneurial skill sets. Please help make sure Nevada County Media has the tools to succeed by helping save the funding they need. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Maggie Philipsborn

This is Matthew Coulter calling for the City Council meeting public comment and hadn't heard anything in the news about the double stabbing on Mill Street. Pretty severe incident and a very interesting to assume the scanner. How it took so long for the police and fire to reach the victim who had to have multiple transfusions to survive down in Sacramento. So please open Millstreet, make it a usable town again. On the dumping into the Creek situation that is ongoing, I reported two more different places on ldaho Maryland Rd today that are dumping into the Creek with grading. What's going on at Memorial Park and the pumping of the mud into magenta drain also is unacceptable and continues. I continue to take pictures of it and video it Loma Rica ranch again. They haven't done their edges of their property. Keep the erosion from going into the Creek. lf it ever does rain again, so it should be dealt with before it rains, not after it rains and the closed session. The city buying houses and properties, and when do these things get to come to light that they're closed sessions and we can't know about them? At what point is all of it available for the public to view about the city's purchases in these closed session meetings and lawsuits? Also for different things? That's my public comment. l'll call back on agenda item 8-9 and 10. Thank you.

Matthew Coulter calling back with public comment on Agenda item 8. About the public works, compensation packages and tojust say that the Grass Valley Public Works is beyond incompetent needs to be completely revamped from the ground up. I think we all know why. I have several letters in my possession from previous employees from public works stating that l'm quite the topic that takes up a lot of time at public works for some reason, so please consider hiring someone from out of the area for public works that isn't a cousin of the brother of the friend of the uncle. At 8-9 the RV park continues to go forward and I think that it will hit some lawsuits because it's very ill conceived. lt'll placed. And with no sidewalks or traffic control, we're just going to end up with more dead pedestrians. Connected about the development review meetings are continually cancelled. lt seems like with this many things that are being built here in town, Development Review would be something that would be of interest and going on into #10 with the items for appointing people to different commissions, I see that Bob and Tom are on the park and Rec Commission. I wish they'd come by Memorial Park and see what's going on there. The transit Commission, Jan and Ben are on that. I don't think they've ever ridden the gold country stage. I wish they would do that for one hour and it would really enlighten them. And the Police oversight committee. I didn't see that on there anyway. And I know that Bob Thomas died and I was wondering if that position has been filled and the police oversight committee, or has that been dissolved along with some of the other things like the Traffic Safety Review Committee, which should be reinstituted due to all the fatalities and injuries that we're having on our streets on a daily basis. Those are my comments. Thank you very much.
