Subject: Agenda item 13, April 26th
#1. The diving boards were removed from the former
demolished pool. Would you discuss the addition of a water slide to the new pool? Or if you think a water slide may be added sometime in the future, at least discuss the addition of the cement block foundation that a future water slide would require. It would be easy to add the cement
foundation while the contractor can still get around the pool water lines and there is now, of course, no cement deck to contend with.
#2. There is a peach tree by the pool that I would like to see preserved. PG&E wants to replace their gas line that goes to the pool heaters. That line runs right next to the tree. The construction of the gas line may kill the tree. If it can't be saved, will you replant another peach tree? Maybe approve $230,080.00 just in case you want a new peach tree.

Hello Grass Valley City Council,
I am Walter Helvin. I have been living here in Grass Valley for all of my life and attend high school in Nevada Country. I want to advocate for updating Grass Valley's general plan to include Climate Change acceptance, mitigation, and emission reduction measures. This is incredibly important because, as I'm sure you're aware, California, including Grass Valley has serious problems with wildfires and wildfire risk as well as pollution and destruction of our communities' natural environments. I want our town and our community to be a better place now and in the future, and the only way to do this is to take steps to prevent climate change and harmful actions against our local ecosystems. Updating our general plan will greatly help make this a reality. Please consider making this change and directly improving our town and community. Thanks for your consideration!
