PUBLIC COMMENTS FROM THE AUDIENCE REGARDING ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA Beatriz Diaz thanked Chief Langborg, Officer Dyels, City Manager Wood and Mayor Pro-tem Untalon for attending the scholarship event hosted by Councilmember Martinez and LULAC for the graduating seniors and 8th graders.
Raul Rodriguez, Greenfield Recreation & Cemetery District, stated that the District had merged and now they were one board that served both districts. He stated that one of their biggest challenges was the swimming pool at Greenfield Oak Park. He stated that the pool was about 70 years old and needed a lot of work. He stated that the Board had made the decision to close the pool because it would be over $100,000 or more to fix both the pool and dressing rooms which also needed to be fixed. He also stated that the Board would be informing the County of the closure; however, wanted to inform the City as well.
Laura Mireles stated that the City hired new city employees and trained them; however, some were not doing their job. She stated for example the code enforcement officers were not doing their job because there were lots of parking issues and asked that staff start implementing the laws. She also stated that the alleys were in bad shape and that the City needed to look cleaner and better. She stated that the issue with the basketball courts at Patriot Park got full attention but no attention had been given to the Avila Boxing. She asked that the Council represent the community as a whole and not just a part of it. 9 City Council Minutes

She stated that the City had a lot of issues at Patriot Park and there needed to be more events and involvement from the public. She stated that the more involvement the people were, the more people would respect the park. She thanked everyone that attended the youth event and thanked Officer Dyels, Chief Langborg, City Manager Wood and LULAC for their participation.

She stated that she would like to have a separate budget for the cannabis funds in order to see what monies were coming in and where they were being spent.
Councilmember Tipton stated that the parking problem was getting worse and the City needed to step up and do something about it. He stated that laws were not being enforced and that there was a parking situation and code enforcement went right by it and did not do anything. He stated that he received complaints about the fireworks and the City needed to look at options on how this could be handled. He asked that traffic enforcement take placed on Oak between 11th and 12th because people were using it a drag strip.

She also stated that summer school started tomorrow for the younger kids and that the high school had already started and to be mindful of the kids on the sidewalks and streets.
Mayor Walker stated that he also had received a lot of complaints about the fireworks because the loud noise scared young kids and pets and asked that the Police try to enforce it better this year.
