Mayor White called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

CALIFORNIA CITIES ANNUAL CONFERENCE
RESOLUTION #2023-110
Staff report was given by City Clerk Rathbun.
A MOTION by Mayor Pro-tem Rodriguez, seconded by Councilmember Ortiz to adopt Resolution #2023-110, “A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Greenfield Appointing Robert White as the Voting Delegate and Paul Wood as the Alternate to the League of California Cities Annual Conference”. All in favor. Motion carried.

AND ENTERTAINMENT, TO PLAN AND COORDINATE THE
2023 GREENFIELD HARVEST FESTIVAL FOR AN AMOUNT OF
$15,000
BACKGROUND:
Greenfield is known for its largest annual festival, the Greenfield Harvest Festival (GHF) which takes place on the third Sunday of October. The City of Greenfield has been hosting and sponsoring the Annual Greenfield Harvest Festival for many years and wishes to continue providing this event to the community free of charge. The City of Greenfield believes it is important to continue improving the quality of entertainment for our Greenfield Residents, their families and families in South Monterey County.
Victor Garcia started his career of event planning in 2011. He got started in the career because he wanted his family and families in his community to have more local entertainment that was easily accessible and low to no cost to attend. For the last twelve years Victor has been planning yearly events like; Tribute to Selena, Valentines Day, Cinco de Mayo, Fourth of July in the City of Watsonville and the for the last eight years the Watsonville Strawberry Festival. In Salinas Victor coordinates, El Grito Festival, Day of the Dead, Halloween, and Las Posadas and has planned events like this all over the central coast.
BUDGET AND FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The cost to contract Victor Garcia and Alegria Musical Media Entertainment team is $15,000 which will be paid using the budgeted funds for the 2023 Greenfield Harvest Festival which is 67 City Council Memorandum

$49,000. All expenses will be reimbursed upon receiving invoices of itemized expenses which will not exceed the overall budgeted amount of $49,000.
