SPECIAL MEETING OF JUNE 6, 2024
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor White called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Mayor White, Councilmembers Ortiz and Tipton
ABSENT: Mayor Pro-tem Rodriguez and Councilmember Martinez STAFF: City Manager Wood, Fire Chief Langborg, Police Chief Mixer, Community Development Director Mugan, Public Works Director Tugel, IT Director Espinosa, Parks & Recreation Coordinator Perez, Community Engagement Manager Lopez, Senior Accountant Mullen, City Attorney Thompson, City Clerk Rathbun GUESTS: Gail Stewart-White, Dr, Lourdes Villarreal, Jose Vazquez
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
All recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
REVIEW OF THE PROPOSED 2024-2025 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET
Report and power point presentation was given by City Manager Wood and Senior Accountant Mullen.
Dr. Lourdes Villarreal, Parks & Recreation Committee, stated that the Committee would like for the Council to consider funding the dog park and make it safer for the owners and pets.
Jose Vazquez, Parks & Recreation Committee, stated that he would like the Council to fund the dog park and allocate more funds for senior events.
There was discussion among Council and staff regarding the proposed budget.
This was an information item and no action was taken.
