also wanted to speak regarding the child sexual assault case involving the Soledad High School teacher. She stated that the support for these cases should always be with the survivors and not the perpetrators.
Gabriella Mireles stated that she currently was living on 12th Street and stated that the street was recently renovated but there was a problem with the sidewalk in front of my property. She stated that she requested that the sidewalk be reviewed because there was a very high slope and it was dangerous; however, she had been ignored. She stated that Public Works Director had told her that nothing would be done so she requested a meeting with Mayor White and had also not received any response. She stated that she was not the only one that was having problems with the sidewalk, her neighbors were having problems as well. She stated that she also would like to address the dogs that were running around attacking cats. She stated that she saw a post by Maria Villagomez that stated that the dogs needed to be caught in the act according to the police officers. She asked how the dogs were going to be caught in the act when animal patrol took a long time to respond and stated the evidence, videos and testimonies should be enough for the pet owners to be held responsible.
