PROCLAMATION REAFFIRMING THE SISTER CITY RELATIONSHIP
BETWEEN GRIDLEY, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
AND COMALA, COLIMA, MEXICO
We, the undersigned representatives of Gridley, California, United States of America, are honored to reaffirm the Sister City relationship between the City of Gridley and the City of Comala, Colima, Mexico, originally established through the Sister City Agreement signed on August 23, 2024. This relationship represents our shared commitment to friendship, mutual respect, cultural understanding, and continued cooperation between our communities.
WHEREAS, the City of Gridley and the City of Comala entered into a Sister City Agreement on August 23, 2024, establishing a long-term and meaningful relationship based on mutual respect and understanding; and
WHEREAS, the Sister City Agreement established shared objectives to foster cultural, educational, professional, economic, and community exchanges between the citizens, schools, organizations, and institutions of both cities; and
WHEREAS, Gridley and Comala recognize the value of sharing knowledge, experiences, traditions, and ideas while celebrating the rich cultural heritage and unique identity of each community; and WHEREAS, the Sister City relationship provides opportunities to develop cultural events, educational exchanges, tourism initiatives, community programs, and other collaborative activities that strengthen the connections between our two cities; and WHEREAS, the City of Gridley and the City of Comala are committed to continuing to explore new and meaningful ways to engage their residents and organizations through Sister City events, cultural exchanges, collaborative projects, and opportunities for learning and friendship; and WHEREAS, as representatives of Gridley and Comala come together on August 28, 2026, we recognize the importance of reaffirming the spirit and purpose of the Sister City relationship established in 2024 and look forward to building upon the foundation created by our two communities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, that the City of Gridley, California, hereby reaffirms its commitment to the Sister City relationship with the City of Comala, Colima, Mexico, and to the continued values of friendship, cultural exchange, mutual understanding, cooperation, and shared community engagement.
BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED, that the City of Gridley looks forward to continuing its partnership with Comala and to exploring new opportunities for Sister City events, exchanges, programs, and collaborations that bring our communities closer together.

PROCLAMACIÓN REAFIRMANDO LA RELACIÓN DE CIUDADES HERMANAS ENTRE GRIDLEY, CALIFORNIA, ESTADOS UNIDOS DE AMÉRICA Y COMALA, COLIMA, MÉXICO
Nosotros, los representantes que suscribimos de Gridley, California, Estados Unidos de América, nos sentimos honrados de reafirmar la relación de Ciudades Hermanas entre la Ciudad de Gridley y la Ciudad de Comala, Colima, México, establecida originalmente mediante el Acuerdo de Ciudades Hermanas firmado el 23 de agosto de 2024. Esta relación representa nuestro compromiso compartido con la amistad, el respeto mutuo, la comprensión cultural y la cooperación continua entre nuestras comunidades.
CONSIDERANDO que la Ciudad de Gridley y la Ciudad de Comala celebraron un Acuerdo de Ciudades Hermanas el 23 de agosto de 2024, estableciendo una relación a largo plazo y significativa basada en el respeto y la comprensión mutuos; y
CONSIDERANDO que el Acuerdo de Ciudades Hermanas estableció objetivos compartidos para fomentar intercambios culturales, educativos, profesionales, económicos y comunitarios entre los ciudadanos, escuelas, organizaciones e instituciones de ambas ciudades; y; CONSIDERANDO que Gridley y Comala reconocen el valor de compartir conocimientos, experiencias, tradiciones e ideas mientras celebran la rica herencia cultural y la identidad única de cada comunidad; y CONSIDERANDO QUE la relación de Ciudades Hermanas ofrece oportunidades para desarrollar eventos culturales, intercambios educativos, iniciativas de turismo, programas comunitarios y otras actividades colaborativas que fortalecen las conexiones entre nuestras dos ciudades; y CONSIDERANDO que la Ciudad de Gridley y la Ciudad de Comala están comprometidas a seguir explorando formas nuevas y significativas de involucrar a sus residentes y organizaciones a través de eventos de Ciudades Hermanas, intercambios culturales, proyectos colaborativos y oportunidades de aprendizaje y amistad; y
