They are working on a utility project, under an encroachment permit issued by the city , this is not a City project. He further explained if anyone has a complaint or concern, we are directing them to Astound at (805) 548-8070, to resolve the issues directly. He stated we are hearing the complaints and are looking at how we can talk and work with Astound to bring further issues to their attention as a company. He mentioned the water budget and that the City has a 10% cutback requirement, if any resident has not met that they have been sent warning letter.

He then stated we will share more information and bring an Updated Water Supply Needs Assessment to the Council in September to see how we have done and if we have met the 10% reduction or if we recommend going to another stage declaration depending on the conditions at Lopez and the Ground Water Basin. And lastly, he mentioned we have some colleagues in the audience from our communications firm , Tripepi-Smith, they are here working with our City staff team on Communication goals and strategies for the next few months.
