PROCLAMATION OF THE GROVER BEACH CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GROVER BEACH
DECLARING THE SECOND WEEK OF OCTOBER as
”CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER WEEK”
WHEREAS, the second week of October is designated as “Code Enforcement Appreciation Week” throughout the State of California to recognize and celebrate the positive role Code Enforcement has in its communities; and WHEREAS, Code Enforcement provides for the safety, health, and welfare of residents and businesses through the enforcement of Local, State, and Federal laws and ordinances dealing with various issues of building, zoning, and housing; and WHEREAS, Code Enforcement Officers are dedicated, highly qualified, and highly trained professionals who share the goals of preventing neighborhood deterioration, enhancing communities and ensuring safety preservation through education and knowledge of housing, zoning and nuisance laws; and
WHEREAS, Code Enforcement Officers often have a highly visible role in the communities they serve and regularly interact with the public and a variety of Federal, State, County, and local officials; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grover Beach recognizes and honors its Code Compliance Officer who continues to serve the community in a variety of ways to improve the quality of life for residents and businesses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Grover Beach City Council of Grover Beach does herby proclaim the second week of October 2022, as “Code Enforcement Officer Week” and call upon it’s residents to join in recognizing and expressing their appreciation for the dedication and service of Code Compliance Officer Adam De Hart.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of Grover Beach to be affixed this 11th day of October 2022.
