CITY COUNCIL STAFF REPORT
TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council DATE: January 8, 2024 FROM: Matthew Bronson City Manager
PREPARED BY: Wendi Sims, City Clerk
SUBJECT: Resolution to Approve Appointments to the Citizens Oversight Committee for City Revenue Measures

RECOMMENDATION
Adopt the Resolution to confirm and approve Mayor Bright’s recommendations to Appoint Anne Holden and Jeff Lee to four-year terms on the Citizens Oversight Committee for City Revenue Measures scheduled to expire on January 8, 2028.

BACKGROUND
There are two (2) vacancies on the Citizens Oversight Committee for City Revenue Measures due to the expiration of the four-year term of office for the seat held by Anne Holden that expired on January 4, 2024 and the previous resignation of Paula Tripp. Consistent with State law, staff advertised the Citizens Oversight Committee for City Revenue Measures vacancies with press releases, notices on the City website, government cable access Channel 20, and posted notices on the bulletin board located at City Hall.

Committee Member Holden has re-applied to serve on the Committee. Jeff Lee submitted an application to be on the Committee and Mayor Bright recommends Council approve the reappointment of Anne Holden to a four-year term of office scheduled to expire on January 8, 2028 and to also appoint Jeff Lee to a four-year term scheduled to expire on January 8, 2028.

Committee Members Holden and Lee will begin serving their new terms at the next scheduled Citizens Oversight Committee for City Revenue Measures meeting on January 10, 2024.

FISCAL IMPACT
There is no anticipated fiscal impact from the recommended action.

ALTERNATIVES
The City Council has the following alternatives to consider:
