MINUTES
SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 29, 2024
CALL TO ORDER Mayor Bright called the meeting to order on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. , at the Ramona Garden Park Center, 993 Ramona Avenue, Grover Beach, California.
ROLL CALL
City Council: Council Members Daniel Rushing, Clint Weirick, Zach Zimmerman, Mayor Pro Tern Rober Robert and Mayor Karen Bright were present.
City Staff: City Manager Matthew Bronson, Assistant City Manager Kristin Eriksson, City Attorney Rob Lomeli, City Clerk Wendi Sims, Police Chief John Peters, Administrative Services Director Nick Szamet, Community Development Director Megan Martin, Interim Public Works Director/City Engineer Steve Kahn, Interim Five Cities Fire Chief Keith Aggson, and Commander Jim Munro were also present.
PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS The Mayor opened the floor to any member of the public for comment on items of interest which were within the jurisdiction of the City Council but were not listed on the agenda. There were no other communications and the Mayor closed the Public Communications segment for this portion of the meeting.
WORKSHOP
1. Council Goals Workshop
Mayor Bright read the title of the foregoing item and deferred to staff for a report.
Assistant City Manager Eriksson and Staff presented a PowerPoint Presentation regarding an update on the mid-year implementation of the FY 2023-24 Council Goals.
Action: The Council reviewed and provided direction to staff.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council , Mayor Bright adjourned the meeting at 7:16 p.m.
