Grover Beach Administrator,
I learned today the Krista Jefferies has applied for the vacant City Council seat, and I could not be more pleased. I met Krista at various community workshops and forums, and I realized right away that I really appreciate the way she looks at and studies the issues facing our community. I’m not alone in that appreciation. She considers a topic thoroughly, then expresses her thoughts boldly and honestly. I’m sure that raising a family adds another dynamic to her point of view when accessing the needs of our community.
Please consider appointing Krista Jefferies to the City Council. Hers is an important and unique perspective, and she would be a valuable addition.

RE: APPOINTMENT TO SERVE AS CITY COUNCIL MEMBER - DISTRICT 2 I first met Krista Jeffries during an Arroyo Grande City Council meeting. The city council was considering a proposal from the 5-Cities Homeless Coalition to convert a local church into a one-stop center for homeless services. You may remember that proposal was a contentious topic for our 5-cities area.
During that meeting and since, I have found Krista to be articulate, thoughtful, a good communicator and a creative thinker. I also have observed her to be someone who listens and considers all opinions, whether she agrees with them or not. She bases her thoughts and actions on facts. She is smart and embraces innovative thinking (e.g. her public art projects).
She is raising young children who attend our local schools and use and appreciate the community resources Grover Beach has to offer. As a result, she would bring a unique perspective to the council. She also cares greatly about our community.
I urge you to appoint Krista to fill the vacant seat on the council. Her enthusiasm for the Grover Beach community definitely would benefit and advance the good work of the council.
Respectfully submitted,

Dear City Council,
I’m emailing you in support for Krista Jeffries for the appointed District 2 Council seat.
I would first like to first say my household did *not* vote for the recall to begin with, but if there was to be a replacement person, I would be excited to see this go to Krista.
I have interacted with Krista a few Ɵmes in person and I have seen her work/responses to issues online for many years.
She is polite, professional, energeƟc and empatheƟc. She is selflessly involved in our community in many ways.
I especially appreciate that she does her best to correct wrong assumpƟons and untruths in online forums with simply the facts, especially on housing issues.
I would love to see more of a youthful open-mindedness in our local government and I believe Krista would be a perfect fit.
Thanks,

Hello,
I am writing to put in my support and excitement for my potentially new District 2 representative, Krista Jefferies. She is an informed and highly qualified candidate and represents a vital demographic of our District. I think she would also be a cooperative team member for the existing council and knows the importance of compromise in order to get things done.
Thank you for your consideration of Ms. Jefferies.

I am writing to endorse Krista Jeffries for Grover Beach city council. I have had the pleasure of knowing Krista for a couple of years now as parents of students at Grover Heights elementary, but I have also known and admired her through local social media groups for years before that. I can confidently say that she possesses the necessary qualities and skills to excel in this position.
Krista is a great community asset and will stand up for the benefit of all members of our community. I have personally witnessed her advocate for and share resources with many families that have been pushed from their homes. She is a strong advocate for sustainable housing and growth, and will reach out for anyone who needs a hand.
As a citizen of Grover Beach, I believe it is important to have council members who stand up for all citizens of their community, and Krista fits the bill. I have no doubt she will work to make Grover Beach a great place for all who live here.
Thank you for consideration,

RE: Letter of Support for Krista Jeffries
To Whom it May Concern:
I, Stephanie Haro, returned to the Five-Cities area after 22 years and have had the pleasure of meeting Krista during that transition (over a year and half ago). Her children attend the same schools (elementary and Junior High) as mine, and I am grateful for her, as she has been more than a supportive friend to myself and children.
In my interactions with Krista, I believe her passion runs deep for her family and community. Her wealth of knowledge and experience is impressive, making me feel her attitude is for the better good for everyone.
Dedication, organization, and commitment are only little of what I can express my gratitude towards us as a family unit, as she has shared her time and demonstrated care in our challenging endeavors. Additionally, Krista has found a balance with a group of young females, allowing a safe space to connect, to which, opens the opportunity to redirect or guide thoughts and actions to positive outcomes.
I am a full-time single mother working in law enforcement and am selective to whom I allow in my small circle, and Krista, I trust.
Thank you for taking the time to read how Krista has ultimately influenced my small family unit.

Dear Mayor and Council,
First, I want to thank all of the 11 neighbors who have applied to serve as the District 2 councilmember through the 2026 election. I trust you to carefully evaluate each of them through tonight's interview process, and make a good decision.
Krista Jeffries is my top choice for the appointment because I know she has the qualities and experience to make life better and more affordable for all Grover Beach residents. Just to look at two areas, Krista has:
1) A deep understanding of and support for the policies that are proven to make housing more affordable, even in amenity-rich areas. (Attached homes are good, actually.) I sincerely believe that the water and sewere rate increases we need would have been way less stressful to folks if the rents on older properties weren't so damn high. The family next door to me are seeing an increase of $200/mo in 2025, bringing rent for a 43-year-old, 2 bedroom/1 bath condo to $2900/month. It's cruel and absurd, and it's pushing hard-working people out of the area.
2) A commitment to reducing car dependency and making it easier, safer, more convenient, and faster to walk, bike, and take the bus. The cost of car ownership runs $6000-$10,000/year.
A county-wide unlimited regional monthly pass for the bus runs $816/year ($408 for K-12 students, seniors 65-79, or disabled, and free for seniors 80+). Electric cargo bikes and trikes that can carry kids and groceries around run $1500-$3000.
Krista understands how to budget for, manage, and referee a large family, and she'll bring her skills to the city council. She has my unequivocal support to represent District 2.
Sincerely
Rachel Mann
