I applaud the city, Planning Commission and Council for moving the 197 W. Grand project forward by approving the Final Subdivision Map for Development Application 23-50.
This project will do a lot for our city. It is removing one of the most blighted businesses/properties in the city and replacing it with another extremely functional addition that supports additional housing and commercial opportunities.
Thank you for creating design guidelines that allows property owners the ability to build projects that make sense or in some cases, just to be able to sell their long held properties.
Overly restrictive guidelines essentially hamstrings property owners, who don’t have the financial ability to redevelop on their own. The current guidelines allow long time property owners the ability to sell their properties for fair market value.
Thanks again for all that you are doing to help Grover Beach develop into a new vibrant community that still maintains the unique character of our neighborhoods.
