I am 100% in favor of the small increase in our waste water bills over the next 5 years. This is a small price to pay to ensure that our system will continue to be fully functional.
We should never postpone these types of maintenance projects, less we become Los Osos South. Paying for it as we go and not pushing this off, will keep the cost in today’s dollars, not in response to a crisis.

I favor moving forward with the 218. Much of the current system is aging and subject to further deterioration. The existing engineering studies will ensure that only the needed
improvements
are financed. I support the approach used to complete Measure K14 streets, including improving underlying infrastructure. Please differentiate between Sewer Rates and the Sanitation District.

Let's face it our 60 yo sewer system will NOT fix itself. Political Will to increase costs in order to keep our sewer and water enterprises in the black is extremely difficult, yet, necessary and part of the responsibility. Please do not bend to the constant noise and skewed facts from self-proclaimed arm chair pundits.
Be brave, stand by the facts and ensure a successful future for Grover Beach.

In Support: I believe in our City of GB leadership. When a decision about rising costs come up, I know it can be
uncomfortable and uncertain especially with prices going up all around us. When the subject of wastewater comes up, I applaud The City of GB for being thorough in the information provided and there is no uncertainty when the facts are laid out. I support the wastewater rate adjustment.

I would like to see a sample city water/sewer bill and a run through of the changes on the bill through the 5 years. The consultant study is confusing, I don’t understand all of it, but my bill I am familiar with. Illustrate the next 5 years using a sample bill, please.

Thank you for having and please continue this discussion! Last year's targeting of sewer rates created unintended
consequences - even though city staff and members of the public said it would happen. Our sewer system needs maintenance and upkeep to work properly. This increase is similar to a cost of living increase even though national inflation (e.g., eggs, gas, tariffs) is skyrocketing.
