Council Member Villegas supports a change and would like to have more options as she understands the ramifications to the residents.

Council Member Costa Jr. opposed the name change expressing concerns about "cancel culture "and the inconvenience to affected residents and the limited public support at this time.

Public Comment:

Jasmine Sanchez
Ms. Sanchez wanted to expand on her mom's comments regarding the residents being agricultural workers and not being aware of the city's happening due to work schedules and caring for their family. With English being a language barrier, a flyer wouldn't be beneficial to the residents. The residents communicate with each other by going door to door and do not have computers or access to use the city website.

Council Member Hernandez suggested the People's Self-Help Housing be utilized to help with flyer distribution in the complex.

Council Member Costa Jr. wanted to empathize Council Member Hernadez suggestions to use the local nonprofit Little House by the Park to reach out to the residents for the notification.
