CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Nagy called the meeting to order at 5:49 P.M. and conducted the pledge of allegiance.
ROLL CALL
Council Members: Bonta – Ford –Alexander – Mayor Nagy
Staff present: City Manager Anna Nicholas, City Attorney Ann Siprelle, Public Works Director Jesus Chavez, Recreation Manager Tiffany Vitorino, Economic & Community Development Director Jami Westervelt, Fire Chief Pat Borrelli, and Administrative Services Director Melanie Correa
Council member Brazil was absent due to the swearing-in ceremony at Westside Ambulance.
PUBLIC COMMENT
There was no public comment.
PRESENTATIONS
1. Presentation of Plaque and Certificates to Mayor Pro Tem Derek Alexander Mayor Nagy recognized and presented Mayor Pro Tem Alexander with a desk clock as a commemorative token of appreciation.
Mayor Pro Tem Alexander shared his pleasure to serve the City and extended his best wishes to Sherri Marsigli. There was no public comment.
COUNCIL REORGANIZATION
2. Administer the Oath of Office and Seat Appointed Officials
1. Merced County District 4 Supervisor Lloyd Pareira to Administer the Oath of Office to:
Mayor Elect: Pat Nagy
Council Member: Rich Ford
Council Member: Sherri Marsigli
Mayor Nagy introduced District Supervisor Lloyd Pareira, who administered the Oath of Office to the elected officials.
Mayor Nagy invited commentary from the elected officials.
Council member Ford thanked Derek Alexander and expressed appreciation for the insight he brought to the table.
Mayor Nagy attested to Derek Alexander’s wealth of knowledge. He thanked his family and supporters for their support during the campaign. He advised of feedback received during the campaign. He also stated the City will persevere. He congratulated the electeds and welcomed Council member Marsigli. Mayor Nagy advised he is dedicating his 2022-2024 Mayoral term of office to his best friend Cameron Hamilton’s memory.

Mayor Nagy adjourned the meeting at 5:59 P.M.
