1. CONVENE SPECIAL MEETING / ROLL CALL
Mayor Brownstone called the Special Meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. Assistant City Clerk Rodriguez took the Roll Call:
PRESENT: Mayor Brownstone, Vice Mayor Ruddock, Councilmembers Jonsson, Nagengast, and Penrose. Planning Chair Ruddock, Commissioners Del Nagro, Hernandez and Rems.
ABSENT: Planning Commission Vice Chair Gorn.
2. SPECIAL STUDY SESSION: CITY COUNCIL / PLANNING COMMISSION
2.A LOCAL RESPONSIBILITY AREA FIRE HAZARD SEVERITY ZONES MAPS Interim Public Works Director Seeley and Cal Fire Unite Chief Wilson presented a report on Fire Hazard Severity Zones maps and the implications to the Half Moon Bay community associated with the maps and Defensible Space Zones.

RECONVENED
Mayor Brownstone reconvened the meeting at 9:34 p.m. with all Councilmembers and Planning Commissioners present. Planning Commission Vice Chair Gorn was absent.
2.B HALF MOON BAY SAFETY ELEMENT UPDATE
Community Development Director Lacko and San Mateo County Safety Element consultant Pfannestiel presented a progress report on the City’s Safety Element update. The Council and Planning Commission asked questions of staff and consultant.
