MEETING DATE: 12/2/2022
AGENDA SECTION: a
SUBJECT:
Discussion regarding the list of committees and boards that have City Council representation directly appointed by the Council and make Appointments as appropriate.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council receive and discuss the list of committees and boards that have City Council representation directly appointed by the Council and approve the Appointments as recommended by a vote of the full Council.
BACKGROUND:
The attached list represents the appointments that were made during the March 15, 2022 Council reorganization and the selection of Mayor and Vice-Mayor. Staff recommends that Council review the list and advise the Mayor of any specific interest in a particular committee or task force. Interest should be expressed regardless of whether or not a current vacancy exists.
Additionally, if a Council Member is currently a member of a particular committee and no longer wishes to serve in that capacity, the Council Member should notify the Mayor that they are no longer interested.
The Mayor will then make a recommendation to the full Council regarding which representatives will
serve on the various boards and committees for the 2023 term.
