4:00 PM CALL TO ORDER SPECIAL SESSION:
Mayor Paden called the special session to order at 4:00 p.m.

Study Sessions are considered Special Meetings under the Brown Act. Accordingly, comments from the public are limited to items listed on the agenda (GC 54954.3a). Public Comment will be accepted during each agenda item. A maximum of three minutes is allowed for each speaker. Please begin your comments by stating your name and providing your city of residence.

STUDY SESSION:
A. Community Development: Presentation and input on the 6th Cycle Multi-jurisdictional Housing Element for Kings County as well as the four cities of Hanford, Lemoore, Corcoran, and Avenal
Members of the Kings County Community Development Department were in the audience, as well as one Hanford resident.
Mayor Paden thanked Commissioner Sanchez for his years of service on the Planning Commission. Deputy City Manager Jason Waters introduced Consultant Isaac George, of The Realty Planners Group, who then gave the presentation. Mayor Paden invited the Council members and Commissioners to ask questions, to which Mr. George then responded. There was considerable discussion regarding the Housing Element requirements and approval processes.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Paden adjourned the meeting at 5:21 p.m.
