RESOLUTION NO. 013-2026
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HAWAIIAN
GARDENS, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, FIXING
THE APPROPRIATIONS LIMITATION IN THE CITY OF HAWAIIAN GARDENS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027
WHEREAS, Article XIII B of the California Constitution as amended by Proposition 111, SB88 (1990), and the Gann Implementation Bill 1352 (Article XIII B) provides that the total annual appropriations subject to limitations of each governmental entity, including the City of Hawaiian Gardens, shall not exceed the appropriation limit of such governmental entity for the prior year, subject to adjustments for changes in cost of living or personal income and populations, except as provided in Article XIIIB and implementing state statutes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Hawaiian Gardens is responsible for establishing an appropriations limit, pursuant to Article XIII B; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Hawaiian Gardens City Council as follows:
Section 1. The City elects the growth factors of (1) City population and (2) California per capita income for fiscal year 2026-2027 calculation.
Section 2. The appropriation limit in the City of Hawaiian Gardens for the fiscal year 2026-2027 is hereby fixed at twenty seven million, eight hundred thirty six, and forty dollars ($27,836,040) for fiscal year 2026-2027.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The Mayor of the City of Hawaiian Gardens is hereby authorized to affix his/her signature to this Resolution signifying its approval and adoption by the City Council of the City Hawaiian Gardens.
Section 5. The City Clerk of the City of Hawaiian Gardens, or his/her duly appointed Deputy, is hereby directed to attest hereto; and shall cause this Resolution and its certification to be entered into the Book of Resolutions of the City Council of the City of Hawaiian Gardens.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 24th day of June, 2026, by the City Council of the City of Hawaiian Garden.
