RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation to adopt Resolution No. 016-2026 adopting a revised salary schedule for employees within the AFSCME, Management Unit effective July 1, 2026.
SUMMARY
In accordance with the requirements of the California Code of Regulations, Title 2, Sections 570.5 and 571, the City must adopt and publicly post a consolidated Salary Schedule for all City classifications.
Pursuant to the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding between AFSCME Management and the City of Hawaiian Gardens, as approved by City Council on July 9th, 2025, AFSCME Management employees shall receive from the City a 2% across the board salary increase effective July 1, 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT
The approved Fiscal Year 2026-2027 budget includes the salary increases associated with the revised salary schedule.
