RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation to approve an Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Agreement with SC Consulting for Information Technology Services to extend the term and increase monthly compensation, and authorize the City Manager to execute the Amendment.
SUMMARY
The City currently contracts with SC Consulting for Information Technology (IT) services.
SC Consulting has provided IT services to the City since 2004. SC Consulting provides prompt, efficient, and reliable technical support to all City Departments.
The term of the City’s existing Professional Services Agreement (“Agreement”) with SC Consulting expired on August 31, 2026. However, SC Consulting continued to provide uninterrupted IT services and the City has continued to compensate SC Consulting at the existing monthly retainer fee for services provided.
This Amendment revises the Agreement to ratify the performance of both the City and SC Consulting after August 31, 2026 through the effective date of the Amendment. The Amendment also extends the term of the Agreement to continue in effect through October 31, 2029. Finally, beginning on November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2029, the Amendment increases the monthly retainer fee for SC Consulting’s IT services to $7,100, an increase of $200 from the current rate of $6,900. The Amendment will be effective as of November 1, 2026.

FISCAL IMPACT
The increased retainer fee will result in a fiscal impact of $85,200 per fiscal year, which is already budgeted for.
