SUBJECT:
Bridge of Hope Community Housing (BHCH) LA CADA Professional Services Agreement First Amendment
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
1. Approve the Professional Services Agreement first amendment with LA CADA for the period of one year from 03/15/2024 to 03/15/2025 to provide professional services necessary to operate the BHCH site.
2. Authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute, amend, and keep record of documents necessary to administer the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Professional Services Agreement with LA CADA.
3. Authorize the Department of Finance to amend create a blanket purchase order for LA CADA not to exceed $798,428.88 in administrative fees.
DISCUSSION:
On March 28, 2023, the Council approved a Professional Services Agreement for the BHCH site operator. It is time to amend the agreement with an updated Scope of Work and change in rates.
The proposal reflects the following changes:
1. Staff Changes – Staff have been cross trained between case managers and housing navigator a. From 2 case managers to 1 case manager
b. From 3 resident aids to 2 resident aids
c. From 2 maintenance staff to 1 maintenance staff
2. New Food Service Provider
3. Radio Equipment Costs eliminated – all equipment purchased at beginning of contract
4. From 2 transportation vans to 1 van lease.
5. Activity line added for field trips and other extra curriculum activities.
There is a reduction in service fees of $91,777.41.
