SUBJECT:
Progress Payment #6 in the amount of $592,661.30 due to GRBCON, Inc of Baldwin Park, CA for Sewer Main and Miscellaneous Storm Drain Improvement Project 2023 (Project # 23-04).
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Staff recommends that the City Council approve this Progress Payment #6 to GRBCON, Inc of Baldwin Park, CA.
DISCUSSION:
This project includes sewer pipe replacement and point repair, storm drain pipe installation removal and restoration of existing surface, trench excavation, shoring and backfill, removal and replacement of existing sewer facilities including, but not limited to sewer mains, service connections and other appurtenances. It includes reconstruction of existing manholes, traffic striping, and all other work necessary to complete the improvements in accordance with the Plans and Specifications.
The work consisted of installing 900 feet of 18” Sewer Pipe on Hawthorne Boulevard and 126th street.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC PLAN:
This project is a result of the City working closely with funding and regulatory agencies to support and improve the City’s infrastructure.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None. Funds for this progress payment in the amount of $592,661.30 are available in the adopted Fiscal Year 2023-2024 budget and will be paid for with approved and allocated funds through the American Rescue Plan Act.
