Progress Payment #3 in the amount of $632,762.76 due to Sequel Contractors of Santa Fe Springs, CA for Northeast Hawthorne Mobility Improvement Project (Project # 21-05) RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Staff recommends that the City Council approve this Progress Payment #3 to Sequel Contractors of Santa Fe Springs, CA
DISCUSSION:
The work consists of construction of ADA ramps, regrading of street surface, traffic striping, including parking Ts, illuminated flashing stop signs, stormwater BMPs system, and all other work necessary to complete the improvements in accordance with the Plans and Specifications.
The following work was done: upgraded 3000 square feet of ADA ramps, reconstructed 1100 linear feet of curb and gutter, restored 1200 square feet of sidewalk, constructed 514 square feet of driveway and constructed 915 linear feet of Bioswale on Oxford Avenue and 126th Street.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC PLAN:
This project is a result of the City working closely with funding and regulatory agencies to support and improve our infrastructure.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None. Funds for this progress payment in the amount of $632,762.76 are available in the adopted Fiscal Year 2023-2024 budget and will be paid for with approved and allocated Measure M Grant.
