SUBJECT:
Progress Payment #7 and Final Acceptance in the amount of $118,100.39 due to GRBCON, Inc of Balwin Park, CA for Sewer Main and Miscellaneous Storm Drain Improvement Project 2023 (Project # 23-04).
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Staff recommends that the City Council approve this Progress Payment #7 and Final Acceptance for Sewer Main and Miscellaneous Storm Drain Improvement Project 2023 (Project # 23-04) to GRBCON, Inc of Baldwin Park, CA and release 5% retention amount 35 days after Final Approval.
DISCUSSION:
This project includes sewer pipe replacement and point repair, storm drain pipe installation removal and restoration of existing surface, trench excavation, shoring and backfill, removal and replacement of existing sewer facilities including, but not limited to sewer mains, service connections and other appurtenances. It includes reconstruction of existing manhoes, traffic striping, and all other work necessary to complete the improvements in accordance with the Plans and Specifications.
The work includes final pavement restoration, traffic striping and completion of point repairs for the affected locations.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC PLAN:
This project is result of the City working closely with funding and regulatory agencies to support and improve the City’s infrastructure.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None. The amount of $118,100.39 plus 5% retention are available in the adopted Fiscal Year 2023-2024 budget and will be paid for with approved and allocated funds through the American Rescue Plan Act.
