FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE
CONSULTANT AGREEMENT FOR TRAFFIC ENGINEERING SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF HAWTHORNE (“CITY”) AND KIMLEY-HORN AND ASSOCIATES (“CONSULTANT”) This First Amendment to the Consultant Agreement for Traffic Engineering Services is made this 23 rd day
of July 2024 by and between the City of Hawthorne, a California municipal corporation ("City") and KimleyHorn and Associates (“Consultant”).
RECITALS
WHEREAS the City and Kimley-Horn and Associates are parties to a Consulting Agreement for Traffic Engineering Services dated July 27, 2022.
WHEREAS in July of 2024, the City received a proposal of $213,900 from Kimley-Horn and Associates to provide transportation planning services for the development of the City’s Comprehensive Safety Action Plan.
WHEREASnow, the City wishesto extend the scope of work and increase the budget by $213,900 with KimleyHorn and Associates to conduct the transportation planning services and prepare deliverables.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOLLOWS:
Effective July 24, 2024, the City will amend the existing agreement to extend the scope of work to conduct the Project and prepare deliverables, which will increase the service amount by $213,900. Kimley-Horn and Associates will provide transportation planning servicesfor the development of the City’s Comprehensive Safety Action Plan, attached hereto and incorporated herein as though set forth in full.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, the City and Kimley-Horn and Associates have executed this First Amendment as of the day and year written above. Except as specifically amended by this First Amendment to the Consulting Agreement for Services dated July 27, 2022 (Consulting Agreement), all other provisions of the Consulting Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
