Approval of Meeting Minutes from October 20, 2021
Action: Motions were made by Councilmember Wahab to approve the minutes of October 20, 2021. Motions were seconded by Councilmember Lamnin and passed with unanimous approval.
Public Banking Update and Credit Union Informational Report Director Claussen introduced members of Public Bank East Bay to provide an update on public banking.
Public Bank East Bay provided the Committee with an informational report regarding public banking and the City’s potential role with Public Bank East Bay.
Action: The Committee received the presentation and provided feedback. The Committee asked Public Bank East Bay to return in early 2022 to provide more information.
Measure C Annual Report: Review Annual Report of Measure C Revenues and Expenditures, Approved by Voters on June 3, 2014 Director Claussen presented the Measure C Annual Report and provided updates on current and future Capital Improvement Projects.
Action: The Committee received the presentation and provided feedback.
FY 2023 Preliminary Budget Process and Calendar Review
Director Claussen informed the Committee of the FY 2023 Preliminary Budget Process and tentative Calendar.
Action: The Committee received the presentation and provided feedback. Mayor Halliday requested the FY 2023 Council Budget Adoption date be moved due to the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 30, 2022.
Future Agenda Items
The Committee reviewed the FY 2022 Meeting Schedule
Action: Councilmember Wahab requested further discussion and information on public banking from Public Bank East Bay in early 2022.
