RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE UP TO $20,000 IN GRANT FUNDING FROM THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS FOR HERITAGE PLAZA ART PIECES WHEREAS, on May 26, 2015, the City Council approved the plans for the Measure C funded 21st Century Library and Heritage Plaza project, which opened in fall of 2021; and WHEREAS, the City Council and Hayward community members have expressed a desire to include heritage art and signage in the plaza; and WHEREAS, the City of Hayward has received a grant of $20,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts to support this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Hayward authorizes the City Manager to accept and appropriate $20,000 to Fund 240 in grant funding from National Endowment for the Arts for Heritage Plaza Art Pieces.
