Item: 7. WS 22-004 Joint Work Session: Density Bonus Ordinance Update and Residential Objective Standards Project (Report from Assistant City Manager/Development Services Director Ott) eComment: Regarding disallowing 1998 subjective standards & subsequent approval of 2 very large residence & attached ADUs. Tan residence appears to be actually intended as multigenerational home. Switzer residence is clearly not. (Parents in Vietnam.) Mr Switzer disingenuously commented at prior meeting "No one is building 1200 sq' homes." 1200 sq' is maximum ADU size allowed.
Intention to provide affordable or multigenerational housing needs confirmation before degrading the character of neighborhoods.
