RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXCUTE ALL AGREEMENTS AND AMENDMENTS WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CALTRANS) TO RECEIVE FEDERALLY FUNDED PAYMENTS FOR THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODIFICATION AT HUNTWOOD/INDUSTRIAL AND HUNTWOOD/SANDOVAL INTERSECTIONS PROJECT 05737 WHEREAS, the Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) awarded the City of Hayward (City) a $774,900 grant for the signal modifications at Huntwood/Industrial and Huntwood/Sandoval intersections; WHEREAS, on September 28, 2021, City Council authorized the City Manager to accept and appropriate the awarded grant funding through Resolution 21-189; and WHEREAS, Caltrans has requested the City Manager be the authorized signing authority for all agreements and documents associated with this grant funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Hayward hereby authorizes the City Manager to sign and execute agreements from Caltrans to receive the awarded funds for the Traffic Signal Modification at Huntwood/Industrial and Huntwood/Sandoval, Project No. 05737.
