In 1994, the Hayward
City Council voted to
dedicate the Hayward
Library in honor of César
E. Chávez. In 2001, La
Alianza de Hayward
sponsored a bronze
plaque commemorating
César Chávez, sculpted by
Hayward artists Fernando
KANA TANAKA Hernandez and Incoronata
