RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTATE AND EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ROSSDRULISCUSENBERY, INC. FOR PHASED 1 PHASE I PROJECT CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENT, BIDDING, AND CONSTRUCTION PHASE A/E SERVICES FOR THE SOUTH HAYWARD YOUTH & FAMILY CENTER PROJECT, NOT-TO EXCEED $377,800 WHEREAS, Hayward community members and elected officials have long held the dream of building a new South Hayward Youth and Family Center at the corner of Tennyson and Ruus Roads, referred to as the Stack Center; and WHEREAS, under an existing agreement with the City, RossDrulisCusenbery, Inc (RDC) has successfully completed the master plan, building program, design development, and construction documents for the SHYFC project; and WHEREAS, the City has procured grant funds that must be spend by June 2024 and thus has determined it is in the best interest of the project to phase the bid and construction; and WHEREAS, the project has sufficient funds to cover the cost of this amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hayward that the City Manager is authorized and directed to negotiate an amendment to the professional services agreement with RossDrulisCusenbery, Inc. for Phase I Project Construction Document, Bidding, and Construction Phase A/E Services for the SHYFC project, not to exceed $377,800.
