RESOLUTION NO. 22-___
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AMENDMENT TO THE EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF HAYWARD AND CITY ATTORNEY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT WHEREAS, Employer recognizes Employee’s satisfactory performance; and WHEREAS, a total compensation market study conducted in March 2022 indicated Employee’s salary was more than fifteen percent (15%) below the market median for City Attorney; and WHEREAS, Employee and Employer have agreed to a ten percent (10%) equity salary adjustment effective the pay period including January 1, 2023 and a one-time, lump sum cash payment equal to four percent (4%) of Employee’s annual base salary effective the pay period including July 1, 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Hayward hereby approves the amendment to the City Attorney’s employment agreement through June 30, 2025 and authorizes the Mayor to execute the agreement.
