Hello.
I am writing to voice our deep concern for the current plans for Skywest Golf Course. We are traveling the day of the meeting and will not be able to attend, but feel very strongly that the plans are headed in a very negative direction. As a resident on Via Sarita our property value and day to day life is directly affected by the decisions being made. It affects us and it affects our neighbors and community. Our backyard backs up to the golf course area near the club house.
When we purchased our property a major appeal was the open view and access to nature. It was unlike many others and gave me that Midwest feel I remembered from my youth. We absolutely loves it. That has already dramatically changed as the course deteriorates, crime increases, air traffic and noise increase and already existing empty Hayward industrial areas give way to sideshows and loud racing that can be heard from inside our home with any door or window closed. I could go on and on about the loss of nature, the increase of pollution and safety concerns we have if this path continues, but I would like to be sensitive to your time.
Please look at this as if it was your home and life being directly affected. Please consider the loss of life in nature. Please think about it as if it was your neighbors you had to pause conversations with as jets fly overhead. Please use you empathy when you vote.
