RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MUNISERVICES, LLC TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE CONTRACT FOR ONE YEAR WHEREAS, MuniServices, LLC is an industry leader in Tax Allocation Audit and Information Services, Utility Users’ Tax/Franchise Compliance and Revenue Protection, Transient Occupancy Tax and Compliance, and Local Tax Compliance for financial support with City resident and business tax laws; and WHEREAS, MuniServices, LLC will allow for the electronic preparation and analysis of the City’s top revenue producers, and analysis of shifts in the local, state, and national economy and legislation related to sales and use tax; and WHEREAS, the contract between City and MuniServices, LLC is scheduled to terminate on June 30, 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Hayward authorizes the City Manager to execute a one-year contract extension with MuniServices, LLC to provide sales tax auditing services for FY 2023, in a form approved by the City Attorney.
